Thank you for your participation in the session(s) I facilitated at the 2009 NEPA conference.
Via the ATTACHMENT link, at the bottom of this page, you may access copies of my slide presentations. Due to the constraints of the forum, these were "overview" sessions. If there is an aspect of either presentation you would like to discuss further, please feel free to contact me.
From the "Web Strategy" presentation, you know that I am especially excited about the success Herald Newspapers (
www.CapeMayCountyHerald.com) and others are having with integrated advertising programs created by bundling online search/directories with specialty publications. For many newspapers, online directories deliver both a new product and a new process.
Small-Medium businesses know they need more online advertising, but they are often unsure of how or where to do that. Thankfully, they also wish to continue print advertising. Newspapers with integrated advertising programs can meet this multi-media advertising need for local businesses and, thereby, garner more of the overall advertising budget.
Newspapers with online directories can readily create theme-/category-based advertising programs, and use the directory listings as a prospecting list. With a pre-loaded directory, every business becomes your advertising client, even if they haven’t paid you anything … yet! The existence of the directory listing becomes a reason to contact the business - to verify the accuracy of the listing, and to present integrated advertising opportunities which have been packaged to best meet the needs of respective industries.
Thanks again for your attendance and interest.
Best regards,
Preston
